BOTTOMY. A cross bottomy, in Heraldry, terminates
Bottrigaro, nates at each end in three buds, knots, or buttons, resembling, in some measure, the three-leaved grass; on which account Segoeing, in his Trefor Heraldique, terms it croix treflee. It is the badge of the order of St Maurice. See HERALDRY Plates.
