CALLITRICHE, or STAR-GRASS, in Botany: A genus of the digynia order, belonging to the monandria class of plants; and in the natural method ranking under the 12th order, Holoseraceæ. There is no calyx, but two petals, and the capsule is bilocular and tetraspermous.
