ELIPOMACROSUYLA, an old term, in Natural History, from the Greek, ἰλλυπὸς imperfect, μακρὸς long, and στήλη a column; which expresses an imperfect crystal with a long column, one end of the column being affixed to some solid body, and composed of thin and slender hexagonal columns, terminated by hexagonal pyramids.
