KERATOPHYTUM, in Natural History, a species
of GORGONIA.—The keratophyta have been called the
fructices coralloides, or sea shrubs; and are generally
known among naturalists by the different appellations of
filikophyta, filixoxyla, and keratophyta.—See GORGONIA,
