LEMNIUS, LEVINUS, a famous physician, born at Zoric Zee in Zealand, in 1505. He practised physic with applause; and after his wife's death being made priest, became canon of Zoric Zee, where he died in 1560. He left several works, the principal of which is entitled De occultis nature miraculis.
