Carpenters and Paviers LEVEL, consists of a long ruler, in the middle of which, is fitted, at right angles, another somewhat larger. At the top of this is fastened a thread, which, when it hangs over a fiducial line at right angles with the base, shows that this base is horizontal. Sometimes this level is composed of one board.
