PEAUCIER, in Anatomy, a name given by Winflow, in his Treatise on the Head, and by some of the French writers, to the muscle called by Albinus latissimus colli; and by others detraxens quadratus, and quadratus genae. Santorini has called the part of this which arises from the cheek musculus risorius novus; and some call the whole platysma myoides.
