PHARMACOPOLA, or PHARMACOPOEUS, an apothecary, or a person who prepares and sells medicines; but this word is rarely used but in the way of ridicule. It is composed of pharmakon, medicine, and poiein, to sell. Hor. Sat. ii. lib. i. ver. 1.
