AUGUSTOBONA, a city of the Tricassers in ancient Gaul, from whom it was afterwards called Tricassies, and Tricassie; and still farther corrupted to Throca, or Trici; whence the modern name Troyes, in Champagne, on the Seine. See TROYES.
