MALTON, a town of the north riding of Yorkshire in England, seated on the river Derwent, over which there is a good stone bridge. It is composed of two towns, the New and the Old; and is well inhabited, accommodated with good inns, and sends two members to parliament. W. Long. o. 40. N. Lat. 54. 8.
