DOWNHAM, a market town of Norfolk, 10 miles south of Lynn, famous for its good butter; there being 1000, and sometimes 2000, fishkins bought here every Monday, and sent up the river Ouse to Cambridge, from whence it is conveyed to London in the Cambridge waggons.
