KING'S-NORTON, a parish of the county of Worcester, in the hundred of Halshire, 116 miles from London. It is on the Stratford-on-Avon Canal, four miles from Birmingham, and participates in some branches of the trade of that town. It has now no market, though one was formerly held. The inhabitants amounted in 1801 to 2807, in 1811 to 3068, in 1821 to 3651, and in 1831 to 3977.
