ALLEMOND, a town of Upper Dauphiny, in the circle of Grenoble, in France. In the mountains of Chalanche, near it, is a lead mine, with silver, which is worked, and by smelting has yielded, in somewhat less than the last 20 years, upwards of 300,000 ounces of silver.
