ALTENNOTTING, a market-town of Bavaria, in the bailiwick of the same name. It contains 139 houses, and 1240 inhabitants, who depend chiefly on the numerous pilgrims who repair for their devotions to an image of the Virgin in a chapel which is the Loretto of Bavaria.
