ABORAS, in Ancient Geography, by Xenophon called Araxes, a river of Mesopotamia, which flows into the Euphrates at Circesium. In the negotiation between Dioclesian and Narses, near the end of the third century, it was fixed as the boundary between the Roman and Persian empires.
