ARCHIDONA, a city of Spain, on a small stream which flows into the river Guadalgorza, in the province of Granada. It is a well built town, with one church, five monasteries, and 5000 inhabitants, who derive their subsistence chiefly from the excellent oil which they make from their abundant olives.
