SARANGPOOR, a town and district of the Mahratta territories, in the province of Malwah, situated about the twelfth degree of north latitude. It is hilly, yet being watered by numerous branches of the Sopra and Gilly Sind rivers, it is fertile and productive. The chief towns are Sarangpoor, Rajegur, and Sher.
