RAISEN-MARKET, a town of the county of Lincoln, in the hundred of Walshcroft, and in Lindsey division. It is situated near the navigable river Anklom, and has a market, which is held on Saturday. The population amounted in 1801 to 774, in 1811 to 964, in 1821 to 1166, and in 1831 to 1428.
