ROUSSELAER, or ROULENS, a city of Belgium, in the province of West Flanders, and the circle of Courtray. It is situated on the river Mandelbeke, and has a royal college, with eight professors. It contains 1100 houses, with 8840 inhabitants, who are occupied in making linen goods of various kinds, in refining salt, and in cultivating fine flax.
