ROVIGO, a city of Austrian Italy, in the province of Milan, and the capital of the delegation of Polesina. It is situ-
ated on the river Adigetto, over which are four bridges, by which it is connected with its suburbs. It is fortified, and is the seat of the bishop of Adria, who has a palace and an ecclesiastical seminary, and twenty-six churches, under his care.
