BESOZZI, or BEZUTUS, AMBROGIO, a painter of some eminence, was born at Milan in 1648. He worked for a time under Gioseffo Danedi, called Montalti, and afterwards went to Rome, where he studied from the antiques and the pictures of the greatest masters. He died at Milan in 1706, aged fifty-eight.
