BILLINGEN, a city, the chief of a bailiwick, in the circle of the Lake of Constance and duchy of Baden. It stands on the Brigach, is fortified, and contains 3500 inhabitants, who are chiefly employed in manufacturing iron goods and other hardware. The bailiwick contains 12,300 inhabitants.
