BILSHOFEN, a magistracy in the circle of the Lower
Danube, in the kingdom of Bavaria, comprehending 258 square miles, and containing 22,200 inhabitants. The capital of the district is a small city of the same name at the entrance of the river Bils into the Danube, and contains 270 houses, with about 2000 inhabitants. Long. 13. 6. 40. E.
