BOIGTSBERG, a bailiwick in the circle of Voigtland, of the kingdom of Saxony. It contains four towns, 112 villages, and about 30,000 inhabitants, who are mostly employed in various manufactures. The town, of the same name, has near it some mines of iron, copper, and alum.
