BALAMBANGAN, a rich and fruitful island in the
Eastern Seas, situated between Magindanao and Borneo,
from the latter of which it is 15 miles distant. The East
India Company formerly had a settlement here; but it is
now abandoned, and is uninhabited. Long. 117. 5. E.
