BASMAN, a village of Persia, in the province of Khorassan and district of Kohistan, consisting of about 150 houses, and governed by a chief of the tribe of Belochies. Here is a singular hot well, about twelve yards in circumference, in the centre of which the water boils up with violence from a pipe of burnt clay.
