LANDSBERG, a city of Bavaria, in the province of the Isar, the capital of a bailiwick of the same name. It stands on the river Lech, is surrounded with walls, and contains 502 houses, with 3350 inhabitants. Its chief employment is in working saw-mills and oil-mills, and in making turnery ware.
