LENHAM, a town in the hundred of Eyborne, and lathe of Aylesford, in the county of Kent, forty-five miles from London and ten from Maidstone, situated at the source of the river Len. It had formerly a market, which has been long discontinued. The population amounted in 1801 to 1434, in 1811 to 1509, in 1821 to 1559, and in 1831 to 2197.
