LEONARD, St, a city of France, in the department of the Upper Vienne, and arrondissement of Limoges. It is situated on the Vienne; was formerly surrounded with walls, now converted into pleasing promenades, planted with trees. It contains 410 houses, and 4950 inhabitants, who carry on manufactures of flannels and druggets, make much leather, and some copper ware. Long. 1. 25. E. Lat. 45. 50. N.
