LINZ, a city, the capital of the circle of the same name,
in the Prussian government of Coblenz. It is situated on the river Rhine, and contains 380 houses, with 1980 inhabitants, who grow some wine, and carry on fisheries, and also navigation on the river. Near it are some iron-works.
