LUDENSCHIED, a city of the Prussian government of Arensburg, in Westphalia, in the circle of Altena. It stands between two lofty hills, and contains a Lutheran and a Calvinist church, 280 houses, and 1820 inhabitants. It is a place celebrated for its hardware, especially for saws, scythes, hoops, and many other articles.
