CHOORHUT, a town of Hindustan, province of Allahabad, in the Bogilcund district. It is a fortress situated between the river Seone and the Vindhya Mountains, and is possessed by an independent chief. It is ninety-four miles south-west from Benares. Long. 81. 48. E. Lat. 24. 29. N.
