CANSTADT, a city of the circle of the Neckar, in the kingdom of Wirtemberg. It is surrounded with walls, and contains 384 houses and 3219 inhabitants. Cotton mills are established, and some silks and satins are manufactured. It has some trade by the navigable river Neckar to the Rhine.
