CASAI DE CACERES, a Spanish town in the province of Estremadura, with 5000 inhabitants, who enjoy a partial freedom, and have among themselves rather a democratic constitution. There are sixteen tanneries here, which employ fifty-one workmen, who annually tan 10,500 pieces.
