CASTRO Villari, a city of Italy, in the Neapolitan province of Calabria Citeriore, and situated on the river Coscile. It is well built, and contains 5600 inhabitants, who carry on a considerable trade in the products of the vicinity, viz. in wine, oil, cotton, mastic, manna, and fruits of various kinds.
