GEHREN, a market-town of the duchy of Schwartzburg-Oberhausen, in Germany. It stands at the junction of the rivers Wohlrose and Schobser, and contains 208 houses and 1411 inhabitants. It is the capital of a bailiwick comprehending two other towns, thirteen villages, and three hamlets, with 9391 inhabitants.
