GOUDHURST, a town of the county of Kent, in the hundred of Marden, within the lake of Seray, forty-four miles from London. It was once a place of some consequence in the woollen manufacture, but that has decayed. The inhabitants amounted in 1801 to 1782, in 1811 to 2082, in 1821 to 2579, and in 1831 to 2758.
