GREISBACH, a bailiwick of the circle of the Lower Danube, in the kingdom of Bavaria, extending over 308 square miles. It contains four market-towns, 146 villages, and 660 hamlets, with 27,870 inhabitants. It is one of the best cultivated districts in the kingdom. The chief town, of the same name, contains only 840 inhabitants.
