PERGAMO, a town of Asiatic Turkey, once a large capital, but now a place of very little importance. It is situated about fifteen miles from the mouth of the Gramalki. The inhabitants are chiefly Turks, though it has a church belonging to the Christians. Long. 27. E. Lat. 39. 11. N.
