PARNELLA, a town and district of Hindustan, in the province of Bejapoor, and one of the most healthy in the Mahratra dominions. Long. 74. 15. E. Lat. 16. 50. N. It was at this place that Aurungzebe's camp was stationed in April 1701, when Sir W. Norris, the ambassador from the English East India Company, arrived to treat with him.
