POLOONSHAH, a small town and district of Hindustan, in the province of Hyderabad, tributary to the nizam. It is situated in a rich and luxuriant valley, and has a fort 300 yards square, with a large round tower at each angle. It is seventy miles north-west from Rajahmundry. Long. 81. 10. E. Lat. 17. 35.
