PONT DE BAUX, a city of France, in the department of the Ain, and arrondissement of Bourg. It is situated on the river Reysouse, is well built, and contains a hospital, a fine corn-hall, 320 houses, and 3050 inhabitants, who carry on a brisk trade in hemp, flax, corn, and wine, by means of the canal, which leads to the Saône.
