GRUNBERG, a city of the grand duchy of Hesse, in Germany, of the province of Upper Hesse. It stands at the sources of the river Wetter, and contains 373 houses, with 2342 inhabitants. It is the capital of a bailiwick of the same name, which comprehends one city, one town, thirty villages, and 9553 inhabitants.
