HAVELBERG, a town of Prussia, in the province of Brandenburg. It stands at the junction of the river Havel with the Elbe. It was once a city, and is now a place of much traffic by both the rivers, and as a kind of entrepôt for Berlin and Hamburg. It contains 2140 inhabitants.
