BOURNE, a market-town of the hundred of Aveland, in the county of Lincoln, 97 miles from London. It is situated in a pleasant country, very productive in corn and cattle; and is at the head of a fine stream, which runs to Spalding. The market is held on Saturday. The inhabitants amounted in 1801 to 1474, in 1811 to 1591, and in 1821 to 2029.
