CAERWYS, a market-town in the hundred of Rhyddlan, in Flintshire, North Wales, five miles from St Asaph and 312 from London. The market is held on Tuesday, and is much frequented. The inhabitants amounted in 1801 to 773, in 1811 to 822, and in 1821 to 952.
