BOURBON-VENDÉE, an arrondissement in the department of Vendée, in France, extending over 630 square miles, and comprehending eight cantons and seventy-three communes, with 65,171 inhabitants. The chief place, now of the same name, formerly La Roche-sur-Yon, and
then Ville Napoleon, has been built since the civil war Bouchier which devastated the department to which it belongs.
