FLORAC, an arrondissement of the department of the Lozère, in France, extending over 660 square miles. It is divided into seven cantons, and these into fifty-five communes, containing 43,500 inhabitants. The capital is the town of the same name situated on the river Tournou, which falls into the Tarn. It contains 340 houses, with 2160 inhabitants.
