DARUVAR, a town in the Austrian Selavonian province of Siebenbergen, the capital of the district Jankovice. It contains a Catholic, a Greek, and a Protestant church, and about 3000 inhabitants, who cultivate silk and wine, and manufacture woollen cloths. There is a salt spring near it, and some marble quarries.
