DHOOLPOOR, a town of Hindustan, in the province of Agra. It is situated on the northern bank of the river Chumbul, and is a considerable and flourishing town, though it has been often exposed to the calamities of war. In 1501 it was the capital of a Hindu chief, but was taken by the Afghan sultan Sekunder Lody; it is now included in the British possessions. It is forty-two miles south-west from Agra. Long. 77. 55.
